Currently, Sacramento Urban Ag Coalition (SUAC) is waiting on getting notice for when the ordinance will be discussed by the Planning and Design Commission.  This is expected to happen in mid-to-late January.

Some faces of the many volunteers involved with Harvest Sacramento’s fruit gleaning efforts

A short video that gives a feel for the amazing diversity of volunteers that allowed Harvest Sacramento to glean more than 120,000 pounds of fruit from trees located in homes in our neighborhoods. The fruit is then donated to local food assistance agencies. Fruit is left with the tree owners if they want a portion and some is also taken home by volunteers.

More volunteers are always needed. Harvest Sacramento is barely scratching the surface of the incredible bounty being produced by our urban food forest.
